Senior Operations Manager needed!!

  • Salary: £27.82 per hour
  • Location: Cambridge, CB4
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
  • Till December 2024
  • Onsite with possibility of hybrid

Must have

  • Experience of managing an operational team delivering responsive repairs and the turnaround of void properties.
  • There is also a requirement to support an out of hours service with the post-holder providing escalation support and ensuring the service is covered through a rota system, working with the Responsive Repairs Supervisor and two Repairs Leading Hands.
  • Significant experience of management responsibility for a large asset management/building maintenance in-house delivery team.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the statutory operating environment for undertaking building and maintenance works. A minimum of 3 years' previous experience of managing complex financial and budgetary information in a housing/property management context.
  • Experience of managing works under contract and sub-contractors with a full understanding of procurement processes, contract terms, liabilities and building regulations.

Main roles and responsibilities

Ensuring the successful delivery of the priorities in the Housing Repair and Compliance Strategies and designing, shaping, and implementing future related strategies to ensure continued effective and efficient delivery of the service.

To provide guidance and support to the Compliance manager in all matters Risk Assurance and Compliance including internal and external stakeholders.

Manage and oversee continuous improvement for Risk Assurance and Compliance projects, ensuring effective implementation into business as usual.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with partners, ensuring the reputation of the Council is continually enhanced.

To work collectively and collaboratively as part of the City Services Group to ensure high-quality, safe, and affordable services are delivered to the residents of Cambridge.

Producing timely performance management information, with analysis and context. Maintaining a consistently high-quality flow of insightful information for officers, Elected Members, and residents.
