Warehouse Operative - Permanent

Blue Arrow is working in partnership with our client located in Castlewood Business Park. This location is a dispatch warehouse for a world-renowned manufacturer of water heating systems. We have an exciting opportunity for experienced warehouse operatives to join their team on a permanent basis. This client is a leading local employer, and their warehouse is well organised and technologically advanced.

Please note that this is a permanent, full time role therefore we cannot accept any applications from candidates that are not available/eligible to work more than 38 per week.

Examples of the tasks involved would be:
* Picking and packing items in a fast paced environment
* Dispatching Spare parts for our Service organisation and Merchant Customers
* Goods in, receiving and storing
* Use of DPD auto labelling/Smart Sheets
* Processing returns
* Utilizing the custom software and scanners for dispatching functions including common freight carrier selection
* Administrative tasks with use of computers including the use of SAP
SAP practical knowledge would be desirable but not essential
* Engineer Van stock management processing
* Forklift (Reach Truck/ Counterbalance/ VNA) experience would be desirable but not essential

You must have a flexible approach to work as the working hours change through the year. The working pattern for this role is based on seasonal hours with an average 37-hour week. In low season (April - October) you will work 4 days per week, in the busy period (November - March) you will work 5 days per week. Your hours will be between 07:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday.

* Have previous experience working in a warehouse environment
* Have administrative experience in the warehouse sector
* Have experience with SAP or similar warehouse management system
* Are comfortable in an active role - you will spend plenty of time on your feet!
* Are growth oriented - take on a new task, happy to learn new skills, support in different areas
* Are determined and motivated to be part of a winning team
* Are pro-active, quality focused, professional, hardworking, reliable
