Our client is one of the UK's leading bakery manufacturers with over 130 years of baking experience that make up their iconic and much-loved brands. They produce bread and bakery products, delivering around 1.3 million loaves, every day of the week throughout the UK and Ireland.

We are looking for Industrial Hygiene Operatives for our Forest Gate site on an ongoing Temp basis, with an opportunity to go perm.

Key Info:

Position: Industrial Hygiene Operative
Location: Forest Gate, E7 9NA
Pay rate: Day shifts £11.84 per hour (Pay progression opportunities)
Days/hours of Work: Day Shift - 06:00 to 18:00, Night Shift - 18:00 to 06:00. Must be fully flexible/available to work both days and nights
Contract: Temp with opportunity for Perm

We will support you to gain your Level 2 food & hygiene. 

Your responsibilities:

  • High level cleaning of site, plant and fabrication including machinery as well as cleaning in place systems including flour service bins, water tanks and yeast holding vessels
  • Maintain proper housekeeping
  • Issue of clean garments
  • Cleaning utensils and equipment
  • Maintaining cleaning supply stocks
  • Removing, emptying and cleaning all waste receptacles
  • Accurately completing documentation


You'll need to be someone who is: 

  • Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Able to work in a physical, fast-paced role
  • Happy working in a hot, loud environment
  • Have the ability to support other roles when required
  • Must be a flexible worker, available for some weekends
  • Happy to work 12-hour shifts days or nights

  • Proof of National Insurance - NI Card, payslip or P45/P60
  • 1 years referencing details (Blue Arrow will apply for these)
  • Candidates are required to undertake a Food Hygiene test at home prior to induction
