The roles are temp to perm - after 12 weeks you will be offered a permanent contract directly with the client. The client is happy to accept newly qualified drivers so it's a great opportunity to build your experience and work for a company that will look after you and invest their time and money in your progression. All drivers will have to pass a drug and alcohol test (and be happy to be re-tested occasionally) and also undergo a Disclosure Scotland (DBS) clearance. The company has a strict anti drugs and alcohol policy and conduct random drug and alcohol tests for 2-3 staff every day. The start times for the roles will be between 4am-6am and you will be completing around 50 hours per week on average. The roles are Monday to Friday only - no weekend work will be involved. The pay rate is £17.00 per hour. The starting annual salary once you get the contract will be £42,432 + overtime + quarterly bonuses. Please note that the roles are very physical and 60% of your day will be spent loading and unloading the products. You will be working with a drivers mate at all times. As a Class 2 delivery driver, your duties will include:<ul><li>Completing up to 5 deliveries daily</li><li>Manual loading and unloading - extensive training will be provided</li><li>Completing relevant paperwork</li><li>Using PODs</li><li>Providing excellent customer service</li></ul> Candidate Requirements:<ul><li>Category C driving licence, up to date CPC and Digi Tacho cards</li><li>No more than 6 points on your driving licence and only for minor offences</li><li>Physical fitness</li><li>Reliability and trustworthiness</li><li>Good customer service skills and willingness to represent client's values</li><li>Good level of spoken English</li></ul> All drivers will need to pass a driving assessment (theory and practical test as well as a drug &amp; alcohol test) and complete 1 week's worth of training (mainly manual handling and safe lifting practices) before starting to drive yourself. All the training will be provided. Please note that the positions will involve a lot of heavy lifting (white goods included), however, you will always work in pairs.
