We are currently recruiting a Recycling Attendant to join our client in Larne

27 hours per week (Part time)
Temporary ongoing
£12.85 - £13.05 per hour
Public Sector

Given the nature of the duties, the successful candidate may be expected to work outside normal hours at weekends, evenings and public holidays

Main Duties:
To assist in the day to day operation of any permanent or temporary Household
Recycling Centre within the Borough. The post holder will undertake, usually as
part of a small team, duties associated with the operation of a Household
Recycling Centre.

Duties include but are not limited too:

Service Delivery

  • To advise and direct members of public where and how to deposit waste and to physically assist them to do so.

Quality

  • Adhere to and comply with all Council policies and procedures relevant to this role, including arrangements for health & safety & risk management.

Performance Improvement

  • Achieve high standards of personal performance, through meeting agreed personal targets and undertaking planned programmes of professional development.

General Management

Essential Criteria:

Applicants must be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have one years' relevant experience to include:-
Working in a waste operations environment
Working within a team environment
Working within a customer service environment dealing with complaints and queries from the general public
